Dr. Nada Shawky

Founder & Lead Dermatologist

Dr. Nada Shawky founded Silk Skin Clinic in 2019 to bring a quieter, more European approach to aesthetic dermatology in Cairo. Her practice is built around long consultations, restraint, and a deep clinical foundation — patients leave looking like better-rested versions of themselves, never operated on.

She trained at Cairo University Faculty of Medicine before completing her Master of Science in Clinical Dermatology at King's College London, followed by a fellowship in cosmetic dermatology at the Cadogan Clinic, Sloane Street. She subsequently spent two years as a visiting consultant at Kaya Skin Clinic Dubai, where she led their injectables protocol committee.

Dr. Shawky is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. She lectures annually at the Dubai Derma conference and has been published in JAAD Case Reports and the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology.

I treat the face I see five years from now, not the face in front of me today. The most beautiful work is the work no one notices.

Dr. Reem El-Hennawy

Senior Aesthetic Physician

Dr. Reem El-Hennawy is one of a small number of Egyptian physicians to have completed advanced injectables training across Allergan's Global Medical Affairs network — including faculty work in Madrid, Lisbon, and Dubai. Her practice at Silk Skin centres on facial harmony, lip architecture, and the careful repair of work that has aged poorly.

She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Ain Shams University and the Royal College of Physicians' Diploma in Practical Dermatology (Cardiff). Reem is a certified preceptor for the Allergan Medical Institute and has personally trained over 200 physicians across the Middle East in advanced cannula technique.

Her recent academic work focuses on dissolving and rebuilding overfilled faces — a subject she lectures on across the region. She is fluent in Arabic, English, and Spanish.

Filler is not a product you buy — it is a structural decision. My job is to say no more often than I say yes.
